Situated at the base of a steep hillside along Lake Washington, the Waterfront Pavilion will be the third phase of a comprehensive property development designed by Thielsen Architects. This pavilion is designed as a multifunction space for the family, to be utilized as an exercise space, music room, entertaining hall, and living space for visiting guests. Its design is a modern interpretation of the classic pavilion; a light, airy and open space. The structure's west wall consists of a row of tall windows, bringing natural light deep within the space and offering views towards the lake. 11-foot ceilings and post-and-beam construction add to its pavilion-like character. The Waterfront Pavilion is designed to compliment the architecture of the existing residence, the Waterfront Residence, while not competing with it. Overall, the pavilion's design has a calmness about it, reflecting classic Northwest and Asian architectural styles, as well as the homeowners' aesthetic.
